Angola's Unitel expands roaming for users to new countries [Bikya Masr (Egypt)]
(Bikya Masr (Egypt) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ADDIS ABABA: Angola's telecom operator Unitel continues to push new services and offerings to its users by adding new countries to its roaming services for customers.
The mobile operator said that it has expanded voice roaming services to Jordan as part of a partnership with Orange.
Unitel said in a statement that the partnership agreement "allows its customers to continue communicating whenever they travel to Jordan."
Unitel voice roaming service is "also present in Oman after a second local partnership was signed with Oman operator Nawras."
Unitel's roaming services are currently also present in Zambia, Nicaragua, Kazakhstan, Poland and Croatia.
These expansions were made through partnerships with local companies, namely Celtel, Claro, Vinaphone, Kcell, P4 and T-Mobile.
The hope is that by expanding its roaming services it will create a new source for users to subscribe, especially those who travel often as it continues to expand its international roaming options for customers.
