Third Annual Turkey Donation Will Benefit Over 700 Central Wisconsin Families
(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. (PRWEB) November 09, 2012
Central Wisconsin food pantries and shelters will receive over 700 turkeys to help feed those in need this holiday season, thanks to a donation by Element Mobile.
Element Mobile has donated turkeys to Central Wisconsin food pantries since 2010. Each year the number of turkeys has increased to benefit those who are not able to afford turkey for Thanksgiving. The food pantries and shelters that will be receiving the turkey donation assist families in Central Wisconsin with food, shelter, and emergency services.
DaNita Carlson, executive director at the Family Center in Wisconsin Rapids, thanks Element Mobile for their generous donation.
“We are very fortunate to live in an area where neighbors care about one another,” said Carlson. “Because of everyone’s generosity the Family Center is able to offer fifty Thanksgiving turkeys and all the fixings to families affected by domestic abuse and sexual assault.”
Jackie Shea, public relations manager at Element Mobile, said directly impacting members of the local community with the turkeys is very important to the company.
“There are families in Central Wisconsin that aren’t able to have a traditional holiday meal. We’re happy to work with area support groups and provide turkeys for the holidays,” Shea said. “It is our hope that our contribution across Central Wisconsin will allow more families to come together during the holiday season.”
This is the third year that Element Mobile has distributed turkeys to community organizations, each year the number of turkeys keeps growing.
Element Mobile has purchased turkeys from the Copps grocery store in Wisconsin Rapids, and with the help of the Opportunity Development Center, will deliver turkeys on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 to the following organizations:
