BRIEF: DSP announces wins with TECOM and Ooma [Globes, Tel Aviv, Israel]


(Globes (Tel Aviv) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jan. 04--DSP Group Inc. (Nasdaq: DSPG)has announced two contract wins. Its XciteR chipset will power the innovative MOCET Communicator offered by TECOM, a designer and manufacturer of IP telephony and mobile device accessories. The MOCET Communicator delivers a superior audio and video experience for iPad users by seamlessly integrating advanced easy-to-use IP phone features together with the MOCET IP Commander app, available for download from the Apple iTunes app store.



The MOCET Communicator is the latest in a line of TECOM's advanced IP phones -- which include the IP3032, IP3062 and IP3062D -- all based on XciteR.

Marc Abrams, VP of Product and Business Development at MOCET, said, "Products such as the MOCET Communicator could not have been designed and manufactured without the ease of integration and outstanding performance of the XciteR chipset." Separately, DSP Group announced today that Ooma, provider of an HD-quality free home phone service, had chosen DSP Group's XceedR CAT-iq 2.0 platform for integration into its recently--launched Telo voice gateway, its HD2 Handset and the Linx adapter.
