Ingenico and OMA Emirates implement POS project for Bank Muscat

Ingenico SA, a provider of payment solutions, has announced that Ingenico Turkey, together with its partner in Oman - OMA Emirates, has implemented a POS project for Bank Muscat.
Within this project, the POS network of Bank Muscat has been equipped with iCT Series, Ingenico's new generation of desktop terminals, Ingenico said.
These new generation POS terminals and solutions are built on an open ended solution that allows the Bank with flexibility to add, upgrade or change or cross pollinate to newer systems, Ingenico added.
The POS terminal is capable of reading all types of cards including magstripe and smart cards. With the advent of newer card technologies, the devices supplied by OMA Emirates will empower Bank Muscat to be ready for reading various card types. Capable of a multi-application environment, it facilitates devices to run different applications such as loyalty, mobile prepaid, installment/loan option, dynamic currency conversation, and more on one device, said Ingenico.
