BRIEF: DSP Group sees earnings growth [Globes, Tel Aviv, Israel :: ](Globes (Tel Aviv) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Aug. 01--Wireless communications chipsets provider DSP Group Inc. (Nasdaq: DSPG) has reported a net profit income for the second quarter of 2014 of $1.09 million on revenue of $36.3 million, compared with $750,000 profit on revenue of $40.7 million for the second quarter of 2013. Earnings per share for the second quarter of 2014 were $0.05, compared with $0.03 for the second quarter of 2013. On a non-GAAP basis, the company made a net profit of $2.8 million ($0.12 per share) in the second quarter of 2014, compared with $3.5 million ($0.15 per share) for the second quarter of 2013. DSP Group CEO Ofer Elyakim said, "We are delighted that our investment in new products is paying off and contributing to our strong financial results. In particular, our Office/VoIP products achieved record revenues and the major design wins we secured this year give us high confidence that the growth in this and other segments will continue "We remain well positioned to meet the key milestones we have set forth for this fiscal year and subsequently reach an inflection point in our business in 2015."
