China : HUAWEI inks 100th contract for NE5000E 400G core router [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Huawei has announced the signing of its 100th contract for the Huawei NE5000E 400G core router deployment on an IP backbone network.

Huawei did not reveal the name of client. In August 2013, the company introduced the 400G routing platform one year ago. The company achieved several milestones, in the last one year.

Huawei installed for instance the industry s first 400G IP backbone network for Mobily in Saudi Arabia. Over the past year, telecom operators like MegaFon Russia, Jazztel Spain, True and DTAC in Thailand, Etisalat UAE, along with China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom, have installed the 400G router with better performance results.



The Huawei NE5000E-based platform is compatible with 3 generations of service boards: 100G, 400G, and 1T. System capacity can be upgraded from 3.2 Tbit/s to 32 Tbit/s and the super 2+8 router cluster system will be able to achieve a capacity of up to 128 Tbit/s.

According to the company, the Huawei NE5000E 400G core router is now running on 66 backbone networks and has continued to operate fault free for over one year.
