SK Telecom wins consulting contract in Taiwan [Emirates News Agency (WAM) (United Arab Emirates)]


(Emirates News Agency (WAM) (United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) South Korean mobile carrier SK Telecom plans to provide consultation services for Taiwan's telecom company Taiwan Mobile on the establishment of 3G and LTE networks, The Korean Time reports. The operator said it will dispatch telecom experts to the country for consultations for the next three months starting next week. SK Telecom had signed similar consulting contracts in Indonesia, China, Malaysia and Mongolia. Meanwhile, SK C&C, the system integration service affiliate of SK Group has won the contract in Taiwan to build infrastructure for the launch of a mobile wallet service. The company said it will work with Alliance Digital Tech (ADTC), a consortium of Taiwan's mobile carriers and a public transportation payment service provider, to launch the e-commerce service dubbed m-Wallet serving 23 million Taiwanese customers.
