Reliance Jio ask DoT to start 4G network test [Emirates News Agency (WAM) (United Arab Emirates)]


(Emirates News Agency (WAM) (United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Indian operator Reliance Jio Infocomm has requested the Department of Telecom (DoT) to start a network test, which will be carried out along with local security agencies before the launch of its nationwide 4G service, The Economic Times reports. Reliance Jio has written to DoT to start test of legal interception and monitoring solution in its network, which is mandatory before launch of telecom services, according to the report. The telco aims to launch its 4G services offering by March 2015. Reliance Jio will initially cover about 5,000 towns and cities accounting for over 90 percent of urban India, as well as over 215,000 villages in India (c) 2014 Emirates News Agency (WAM) Provided by SyndiGate Media Inc.
