Czech nangu.TV reaches 450,000 subscribers [Emirates News Agency (WAM) (United Arab Emirates)]

(Emirates News Agency (WAM) (United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Czech nangu.TV, a media platform provider for IPTV and OTT services, has announced a milestone in its ten-year history. The company has revealed that more than 450,000 subscribers using active devices including set-top boxes, mobile phones, tablets and PCs are now connected to its media platform, which enables the delivery of television and video content, including advanced value-add services, via third party operators.

The company's end-to-end IPTV and OTT platform allows ISPs, cable, mobile and hospitality TV service providers to deliver additional value-added features including non-linear, VoD, triple-screen, hybrid boxes, web and mobile applications.

Providing value-added services is vital in the battle against cord-cutting. Nangu.TV's open system allows third parties directly to integrate via its published APIs, allowing further development into interactive TV applications and services aimed at specific markets.

Nangu.TV has been particularly successful in the Slovak and Czech marketplaces. Customers in these regions include O2, T-Mobile Czech Republic, Orange Slovakia, Smart Comp, DSi Data SK, and Slovanet. Customers outside of this region cover Poland, Switzerland, France, Ukraine and the Emirates. The company has also recently expanded its reach across Europe and the US.

Nangu.TV was set up in 2004 in Prague in the Czech Republic, and currently has 55 employees. Nangu.TV is part of Alef group, focused on IPTV, networks, system integration, software development and consultancy. Alef is a gold-certified Cisco Systems partner.
