Automic Appoints Todd DeLaughter as CEO


VIENNA & SEATTLE & LONDON --(Business Wire)--

Automic, www.automic.com, a leader in business automation software, today announced it has appointed Todd DeLaughter as Chief Executive Officer. Todd will succeed Richard Muirhead, who has successfully led Automic in an interim role since February and will continue to support EQT on other portfolio companies going forward.

Todd has held a wide range of leadership positions in the software technology space particularly in mobility, cloud automation and systems management. Todd previously was CEO of Mformation (News - Alert) Technologies, a leader in mobility management for wireless carriers worldwide, acquired by a private equity firm in 2012. Prior to Mformation, he was appointed CEO of Opalis Software, which at that time became the market leader in IT Process Automation software. Opalis was acquired by Microsoft (News - Alert) in 2009, as a key component for its cloud computing automation strategy and currently ships in the Systems Center suite as SC Orchestrator and as enabling technology in Microsoft's successful Azure cloud platform.

Todd began his career in Software Engineering before taking leadership positions at Compaq and Hewlett Packard. During his tenure as Vice President and General Manager of HP's OpenView management software business, Todd successfully helped double the team's revenue to $1 billion.
