Bharti Telesoft reportedly has signed an agreement with Sofrecom to deliver value-added services solutions in Africa, southeast Asia and Latin America.

The company provides integrated solutions for mobile operators in emerging markets, and Sofrecom is a subsidiary of France Telecom (News - Alert).

“With this synergistic partnership, we aim to capitalize on our presence in major growth regions globally by continuing to enhance our portfolio of integrated VAS solutions and develop innovative offerings and business models,” said Mao Mohapatra, chief executive officer at Bharti.

The collaboration is part of Bharti Telesoft’s (News - Alert) strategic initiative of developing a global innovative ecosystem of alliances to provide technical support services. The partnership calls on Sofrecom to provide strategic design of solutions, integration of systems and technical support services to Bharti Telesoft’s clients.

Jean-Francois Fallacher, chief executive officer at Sofrecom, said that the alliance with Bharti Telesoft brings added-value to business. He said that the company’s experience in solution delivery and providing ongoing local support services, coupled with Bharti Telesoft’s product portfolio offering and strong customer base in emerging markets, will result in a “winning combination spurring further growth.”

“This step marks a significant milestone as we expand our reach across these regions, delivering the latest telecom solutions that ultimately result in increased end-customer satisfaction,” Fallacher said.

Mohapatra said that the deal will help Bharti Telesoft improve its speed of delivery and enable customers to speed time to market – improving overall performance and profitability.

Bharti Telesoft has established a strong presence among telecom operators in the high growth markets of Africa and the Middle East, and also in Asia. Company said that it has deployed solutions for operators in more than 30 countries across Africa.

Earlier this month, Bharti Telesoft launched Aggregated Voice Applications Network, or AVAN, a new aggregation system. Company claims that this offering will transform operators’ ability to launch new voice applications cost effectively.
