Aramco Services Company (ASC (News - Alert)), the U.S.-based subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, the state-owned oil company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has entered into a network infrastructure agreement with Orange Business Services (News - Alert).
Following revenue growth in Saudi Arabia, Orange Business recently expanded its local presence there to build out its local service capabilities. As per the agreement, Orange will reportedly provide network services to connect sites in different regions in order to strengthen the communication platform for various applications. In addition, it will also offer fully managed customer support based on the ITL framework.
Business is thriving in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia; technology is powering this growth by helping connect regional operations to the world via global networks. ASC operates as a vital link between Saudi Arabia and North America, and offers a wide range of services to Saudi Aramco.
“This engagement with U.S.-based Aramco Services Company weaves regional operations in the larger tapestry of the worldwide business. We predict that demand for such capabilities from other businesses will only increase over the next several years,” observed Diana Einterz, senior vice president, Americas, Orange Business Services.
Orange Business Services’ presence in emerging markets has been growing rapidly, particularly in the Middle East, equipping the markets with the necessary network infrastructure to project the growth internationally.
A five-time winner of Best Global Operator award, Orange has more than 50 years of experience working at the local level; it understands the challenges and also the regulatory issues that are involved.
Further, Orange has been providing large infrastructure and smart city services in the Middle East as well as customized and turnkey solutions. This is seen as a great advantage and makes the infrastructure agreement with Aramco, even more significant.
